Ensuring the Health of Your Natural Nails: The Key to Proper Removal

Properly removing press-on nails is key to keeping your natural nails healthy. Removing them the wrong way can cause damage, so it’s important to be gentle and careful. Follow our guide for safe removal to protect your nails and keep them looking their best.

Gather Your Supplies:
Collect a bowl of warm, soapy water, a soft nail buffer, acetone or nail polish remover, cotton balls or pads, a cuticle pusher or orange stick, and moisturizer.

Soak Your Nails:
Submerge your fingertips in the warm, soapy water for about 5-10 minutes. This helps to soften the adhesive, making the removal process gentler.

Carefully Lift the Edges:
Using the cuticle pusher, gently lift the edges of the press-on nails. Be patient and avoid forcing them off to prevent any damage to your natural nails.

Soak with Acetone:
If the press-on nails have a strong adhesive, soak a cotton ball or pad in acetone or nail polish remover. Place it on the nail and wrap each fingertip with aluminum foil. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes to further loosen the adhesive.

Gentle Wiggling Motion:
After soaking, gently wiggle the press-on nails off your natural nails. If there's resistance, repeat the soaking process until they come off easily.

Buff and Moisturize:
Use a soft nail buffer to smooth out any remaining adhesive on your natural nails. Finish by moisturizing your hands and nails to replenish moisture lost during the removal process.

Remember to take your time and be gentle to ensure a smooth and damage-free removal process.
